Niki and Michael are a husband and wife team who have over 32 years of combined experience in design and construction.

​Leading the design process, Niki brings her vast experience in both commercial and residential projects. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, a Master of Interior Architecture, and has been practicing in the field since 2004. As a LEED Accredited Professional, Niki is particularly mindful of her role in reducing the carbon footprint of her projects. At every level of her design process, she is considering the sustainability and sourcing of her materials and products. For her, good design happens because of this consciousness of environmental impact, not in spite of it. In addition to her active design career, Niki has been a tenured professor of interior design for more than 12 years. She loves helping prepare the next generation of designers for an exciting and rewarding career.

​Once the design is finalized, Michael brings the project to life. As a licensed contractor with over 15 years of experience working in residential construction and development, Michael knows the importance that a quality installation makes to the final results. Before starting his own company, Michael worked for a housing developer overseeing their projects. As the CEO and general contractor at Ear Construction and Design, he brings that same leadership to manage the various trades, schedules, and attention to detail.
